Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5:30β9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Varasano's Pizzeria - Buckhead at (404) 352-8216; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I donβt know about yβall, but this pizzeria is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I had the chance to meet the owner, Jeff Varasano, and I can honestly say Iβve never met anyone more passionate about pizza than this guy. After 17 years in the business, Jeff is an absolute beast when it comes to maintaining the quality and standards of his restaurant. From the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the wonderful staff and excellent service, you can tell how much care goes into the entire experience. And knowing that Jeff personally trains his team makes it even more impressive. You can genuinely feel his passion for what he does, and it shows in the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Definitely a place worth checking out. At this point, itβs putting most of the other pizza places I know to shame.

Varasano's Pizzeria continues to prove why it's considered one of Atlanta's premier pizza destinations. The pizzas feature an incredibly flavorful, thin crust with outstanding, high-quality ingredients that really shine. Our party of four ordered three pizzasβthe Pancetta Garlic, Bufala & Copa, and Caramelized Onion. Every single one was excellent, but the standout was definitely the Caramelized Onion pizza with capicola. The combination of sweet caramelized onions and savory cured meat was absolutely delicious. Service was another highlight. Although our order was initially mixed up, the staff handled the mistake professionally and recovered quickly. They were attentive throughout the meal and even treated our entire table to tiramisu, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated. The only disappointment was the appetizer. We ordered the meatballs, and while they were perfectly edible, they were fairly pedestrian and didn't come close to matching the quality of the pizzas. For four people, our bill came to just $98 before tip for three large pizzas, one appetizer, and waterβa terrific value considering the quality of the food. Overall, this is probably the best pizza w

Dropped by early Saturday evening. Itβs seat yourself so I made my way to the pizza oven bar in the back and took a seat. Ryan was back there making pies. Heβs a great conversationalist. I enjoyed his company while I dined. Kristen handled my order. It was my first time and I wasnβt sure what to eat. She asked me what I liked and at my request just ordered what she thought I should have. A small Caesar salad (delicious, freshly made, tossed nicely with the dressing, yummy croutons); Nanaβs pizza 1/2 pepperoni/mushroom 1/2 sausage/peppadew (so good, super thin light crust, sausage and pepperoni were packed with flavor, first time having peppadew peppers and boy are they good, super nice on the pizza). Paired all that with a glass of Valpolicella. The vibes are great. Parking is avail in the deck behind the restaurant. When you come in ask for Kristen. Sheβs a Queen. Iβll be back.

Was craving pizza when I was on a work trip in Atlanta. Saw that this place had very high ratings and was less than 15 mins from my hotel. So very pleasantly surprised! Not only was the server an absolute sweetheart, the pizza was INCREDIBLE! I ate every last morsel! I had the Margherita di Bufala pizza and added the suggested Hot Sopressata. The crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy, light and chewy on the inside. I also had the most beautiful fresh cannoli I have ever seen in my life! I loved it so much, I went back on my next trip and brought my colleagues. They all loved the food so much, they were still talking about it the next day!

Slice of Heaven experience was INCREDIBLE. The owner Jeff Varasano makes you pizza, after pizza, after pizza. All unique and delicious in their own way. Exquisite choice of cheeses and balanced flavors. My favorites were the caramelized onion with Capicola, the caper and olive, the prosciutto with garlic oil, and the spicy Soppresatta. The dessert was such a nice finish.
